COLUMBUS, OH (FOX19) - The Ohio State Highway Patrol says heroin seizures are up 40 percent in one year.
A spokesman for the OHSP tells FOX19 the department has taken 10,241 grams of heroin off Ohio roads in 2009. The spokesman says that's almost 4,000 grams more than in 2008.
Patrol officers seized 3 kilos of heroin in two traffic stops over the weekend - one in Preble County and one in Hancock County.
