CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) –
On Friday, December 18 the Kenton County Public Library will unveil two new resources for the public. At 10 a.m. at the Erlanger Branch Library will launch The Well, an interactive health kiosk that focuses on four key health issues - heart health, smoking cessation, second-hand smoke and radon. The kiosk also features a Body Mass Index (BMI) calculator, scale and interactive computer screen and keyboard for BMI calculation. The Well was developed by the University of Kentucky College of Nursing's Clean Indoor Air Collaborative, St. Elizabeth Healthcare and the Northern Kentucky Health Department.
At 1 p.m. the focus switches to the Mary Ann Mongan Library in Covington. The City of Covington and the Center for Great Neighborhoods will launch the Experience Covington project. Experience Covington has two main parts, an interactive kiosk and engaging Web site, both of which will allow guests and visitors to experience the remarkable history of the city of Covington as told by the residents. The kiosk is a multi-media extravaganza that includes photos, maps, and audio tours of over 35 sites and 18 neighborhoods. Additionally, kiosk users can develop their own personalized tour of Covington and check out a mp3 player from the Library to guide them on the tour.
