MIAMI TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Police in Miami Township have charged a man with killing his roommate at a Clermont County nursing home.

Investigators responded to Clermont Nursing and Convalescent Home around 7:20 p.m. Thursday night for a report of a person not breathing.

Upon arrival, paramedics found Gary Schlucter, 58, unresponsive. Advanced life-saving measures were initiated and the victim was taken to Bethesda North Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Witnesses at the scene say there was a scuffle between the victim and his roommate. Police have charged Greg Baurichter, 61, with murder. He is being held in the Clermont County Jail on a $500,000 bond.

The Clermont County Coroner's Office says Schlucter died of strangulation.

The case remains under investigation.
