CINCINNATI (FOX19) – Cincinnati Police are investigating a brutal assault in Westwood after a man said he and his wife were pistol-whipped for a Playstation 3.

The incident took place Monday in the 2900 block of Aquadale Lane.

"Somebody just came in my house when I was in the basement and just tried to get me, they pulled two guns out on me, pulled me upstairs, made me lie on the floor and tried to handcuff me, but they couldn't so they started hitting me in the head with their pistol," said assault victim Louis Johnson. "I got about thirty-two staples in my head and six in my eye."

Louis Johnson says he and his wife were brutally assaulted as robbers made-off with a Playstation 3 Video Game Console and money.

"They hit my wife in the head too with a gun; she had to get staples, too," said Johnson.

Johnson says he doesn't know the attackers.

"I'm lucky, very lucky because I could have been dead," he said.

People living in the neighborhood say the crime is shocking, but what is even more disturbing is it's happened four times in the past couples of weeks.

The Johnsons say they've lived in the area for more than ten years and nothing like this has ever happened before. Louis Johnson says he's just thankful his five children weren't hurt.

Johnson says after the beating he actually chased the robbers down the street trying to get their license plates but they still got away.

"So then I got outside my truck was over there and guys just started firing at me twice, the police came and investigated that I think they got the shells from that," he said.

Cincinnati Police are still investigating.
