1 arrested, 1 hurt after vehicle gets submerged in pond

INDEPENDENCE, KY (FOX19) - One person is behind bars and another person was injured after a man drove his car into a pond.

It happened just before 12:30 a.m. Wednesday morning in the 900 block of Mount Zion Road.

Police say Bradley Olsen, 25, of Independence, lost control of his Lexus, left the shoulder of the roadway and entered a pond, where the car became fully submerged.

Olsen was arrested and charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence. His passenger, DAvid Sinowetski, 27, of Cincinnati, was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood with minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
