CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Fire crews from three different fire departments quickly brought a one room fire under control in Colerain Township Wednesday night.
The call went out around 7pm to the home in the 9100 block of Gila Drive. Crews from Colerain, North College Hill and Springfield Township responded.
The homeowner and his family escaped the fire without injury.
Crews were able to confine the fire to one room. Heat and smoke damaged areas throughout the rest of the home, but firefighters did recover several Christmas gifts from underneath the family's Christmas tree along with countless pictures and other priceless items.
Investigators say the home sustained approximately $50,000 in damages.
The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time, but does appear to be accidental.
