Bengals wrap up the AFC North Championship and fans love it

CINCINNATI (FOX19) – It was certainly a good afternoon from Paul Brown Stadium, where the Bengals wrapped up the AFC North Championship.

No matter where you were Sunday afternoon, Cincinnati Bengals fever was in the air.

Sunday's Bengals win over the Kansas City Chiefs means the team has clinched a playoff spot for only the second time in 18 years - quite a turnaround from earlier this season.

"It's been wild, it's been a good time, we have been coming down here for the last 20 years it's about time we have a winning record," says Ray Brown, a long time Bengals Fan.

"It's exciting, it's a lot better to be 9-5 and have a chance to win the division then to be 2-11-1," says Jonathan Lloyd.

No matter where you looked in the Queen City, said this was the way it should be, especially after a tough couple weeks.

"The key to me was getting hungry players I think that you have to keep a certain amount of hungriness in you to be a better football player," says Edward Mabrey.

"Hopefully they can go deep in the playoffs and do something this year at least it something to build on for next year too," says Jerry Walker.

The Bengals take on the New York Jets on Jan. 3.
