CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - It was a wild night at the Cincinnati Zoo with a bunch of party animals. FOX 19 was there for this year's, "Happy Zoo Year!" The new year came just a little earlier this year for hundreds of happy kids and parents at the zoo. They counted-down, then rang in the happy zoo year by 9 o'clock New Year's Eve.

The party animals couldn't wait to ring in the new year. They had to celebrate it slightly earlier because the real New Years is way past their bedtime.

All the celebrating took place at the "Wings Of Wonder" theater, inside the zoo. The "Madcap Puppets" put on a show using black lights for the kids three times New Year's Eve.

Everyone was outfitted with hats and party favors and made plenty of noise!

Father Time and Baby Zoo Year hugged as if to symbolize, out with the old and in with the new.

The best part of the night came right after yelling, "Happy Zoo Year", then everyone scrambled to get a good look at the sky, because Rozzi's put on an incredible fireworks display.

The kids really loved it!
