TURTLECREEK TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - A Warren County man is behind bars after police say he threatened to rape a woman while he was driving drunk.

An officer was traveling north on SR 123 in Turtlecreek Township on Sunday when a female flagged him down.

The woman then told the officer the man she was riding with had threatened to rape her. She said she obtained a ride with Lowell Gaffin, 62, of Waynesville, from her mother's home in Lebanon. The victim said Gaffin refused to stop the car and let her out, so she grabbed the wheel, forcing the car off the road. That's when she left the car and flagged down the first car she saw.

Gaffin has been charged with sexual imposition, unlawful restraint and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
