BURLINGTON, Ky. (AP) - A former teacher and track coach in northern Kentucky has pleaded guilty to sex abuse involving a student.
Jason Collins-Baker, 31, of Union entered the plea last week in Boone County Circuit Court. His trial was to begin Monday.
The charge involved a 17-year-old student at Cooper High School, where Collins-Baker worked. The teen graduated in 2009.
Collins-Baker was scheduled to be sentenced on Feb. 24.
Police say the two would meet at Collins-Baker's home and there was no inappropriate behavior on school grounds other than discreet communication.
Collins-Baker is also a former receiver for the University of Cincinnati football team.
