LEBANON, OH (FOX19) - A Columbus woman is in police custody, accused of trying to smuggle drugs into the Warren Correctional Institution (WCI).
Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers arrested Wanikki E. Cabell, 27, Saturday.
Troopers and Department of Rehabilitation and Correction Investigators received information that Cabell would try to get drugs to an inmate at WCI during their scheduled visit. Officers confronted her, and Cabell voluntarily surrendered 9 balloons full of about 11 grams of marijuana.
Cabell is charged with conveying drugs onto the grounds of a detention facility, a third-degree felony, and possession of criminal tools, a fifth-degree felony. and is now held in the Warren County jail. If convicted, she could face up to seven years in prison and a $15,000 fine.
