UNION TWP. (Fox 19) -- Plans are underway for the "Let us never forget" scholarship fundraiser.

It raises money for scholarships in honor of tri-state military killed in action. Students from high schools around the tri-state benefit from the fund.

The dinner is April 9 at Oasis Conference Center in Loveland. It includes a silent auction and dancing.

Event organizer, June Izzi-Bailey, said all the work is worth it to honor the families by helping others further their education.

"We put on these events because we feel fallen heroes are never to be forgotten and this is a way we can show parents that and parents join us to remember their loved ones," Izzi-Bailey said.

Some of the auction items include a fiddle signed by Charlie Daniels, dinner for two every week for a year and a shopping spree.

Tickets are $50 per person. You must RSVP by March 20.
