Sheriff's deputy involved in crash

ANDERSON TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - A Hamilton County sheriff's deputy was involved in a  crash in Anderson Township.

It happened around 6:30 a.m. Thursday morning at Wolfangel Road and Clough Pike.

Police say a Mazda driven by a 17-year-old boy was traveling southbound on Wolfangel Road when he failed to maintain control of his vehicle and went left of center, striking the deputy's cruiser head on. The deputy, Timothy McCalla, 32, of Cincinnati, was on routine patrol at the time of the crash.

Both the deputy and the teen suffered minor injuries. The teen was cited for failure to maintain reasonable control. Alcohol and/or drugs are not believed to be factors.
