WILMINGTON, OH (FOX19) - After leaving Wilmington last January, DHL is donating the Wilmington Air Park to the Clinton County Port Authority (CCPA).

Thousands of jobs were lost when DHL shut down its operation in Wilmington and moved to  the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.

The air park is worth $310 million and is one of the largest private airports in the country.

Developers want to have business tenants that will bring new types of jobs to the area, putting thousands back to work.

No companies were mentioned as potential tenants, but planners did say they hope to have some growth in jobs there by the end of this year.

The final contract will be signed in late February.
