FLORENCE, KY (FOX19) - Police have made an arrest after an arson fire damaged the Meijer store in Florence.

Matthew Bacon, 19, of Hebron, has been arrested and charged with Arson 1st degree.

Bacon was one of three suspects captured Monday morning on surveillance video. Police say they received a number of tips after the images were released to the media.

"They were good pictures, pretty clear and once we got a name it was pretty easy to backtrack," said Capt. John McDermond with Florence Police. "We found workplace and I'd say within a couple hours we had all three identified."

Police have not released any other information on the other two suspects, but say they expect all three to be behind bars soon.

"We are still trying to sort out the roles of the two and I anticipate charges," said Capt. McDermond.

Police say the investigation is continuing and additional charges may be forthcoming.

The fire broke out at the store early Monday morning, causing water and smoke damage to the store. No one was hurt.

The store reopened on Tuesday.
