A fire overnight damaged a local food mart in Mount Lookout, another damaged a bakery in Colerain Township and still another sent a person to the hospital in Reading. Temperatures will remain below average this afternoon with a daytime high of 24 degrees, however with the wind it will feel more like the low teens to single digits. We will remain cloudy with a few light snow showers or flurries possible mainly south of town late day. As we are TRACKING a major winter blast that will remain far south of the Tri-State, on the KY / TN state lines. Then just cold air for the weekend in the 20's.

TRAVELER'S TAKE NOTE: Snow fall will be heavy between here and Nashville late today and tonight and between here and Knoxville tonight into Saturday. After heading south through the heavy snow there will be some ice to contend with from Nashville southward. On the way to Knoxville Jellico Mountain will be a problem with heavy snow and ice.  East of Nashville I-40 could be very bad on the4 way to Asheville.
