HYDE PARK, OH (FOX19) - One person was able to escape a two-alarm fire at a home in Hyde Park.
Flames broke out just after 9:30 a.m. at the home on the 2400 block of Observatory Avenue.
When fire crews arrived, there was heavy smoke and fire coming from the first floor of the home. A second alarm was issued for additional resources.
A woman was able to escape the home unharmed.
Officials say that damage was extensive and the cause was due to combustibles too close to a heating source. Investigators say she had several things hoarded in the home.
It was undetermined if smoke detectors were present in the home.
