ANDERSON TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Two men are behind bars for aggravated robbery after police say they threatened a woman with a gun at her home.
It happened Monday just after 7 p.m. in the 800 block of Nordyke Road in Anderson Township. Police say the victim permitted James Nathen Maddy, 19, and Thomas Aaron Smith, 20, to enter her home because she had known them for some time and considered them friends.
The victim then told police that after playing some video games, Smith and Maddy verbally threatened the victim and Smith pointed a handgun at her. While Smith pointed the firearm, Maddy dismantled her X-Box 360 and picked up five games for the system. Smith and Maddy then left with the property. The victim was not harmed during the robbery.
On Tuesday, Maddy was observed by a Sheriff's Deputy driving on S.R. 32 in Anderson and was taken into custody for Driving under Suspension and Possession of a small quantity of Marijuana. Further investigation by Sheriff's Detectives resulted in Maddy being charged and arrested for the Aggravated Robbery. Smith was located at his residence later the same day by Detectives and was also charged with Aggravated Robbery.
Both were transported to the Hamilton County Justice Center.
