WYOMING (FOX 19) No school for kids once again Wednesday. So the Wyoming Fire Dept. decided to have their high school cadets helping clear snow from fire hydrants.

Conner Brunck says he is a part of the program because he's always wanted to be a firefighter and this early opportunity gives him experience doing the tasks they do.

Conner says clearing the snow now, saves crucial time in an emergency. "Minutes and seconds can save a life or save someone's property," Conner says.

The teens say you can help the fire department in your hometown by clearing a path to the hydrants on your street and clearing the snow around the hookups on the hydrants.
