COVINGTON, KY (FOX19) - Kenton County Commonwealth Attorney Rob Sanders says he's strongly considering a third trial for Darius "Slim" Harris.

A Kenton County jury could not come up with a verdict after two days of deliberations this week.

Harris is accused of killing Haithan Asad, a Covington storekeeper, back in 2006.

Harris' first trial also ended in a hung jury. Sanders says he's been in touch with jury members and several family members of Asad, who are urging a third trial.

Harris is already serving a 10-year sentence on federal drug charges.
