CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Officials with the Cincinnati Health Department are presenting data Wednesday that indicate Cincinnati has reached a pandemic level with bedbug infestations.
The officials will present the data to the city's health committee on Wednesday to make the case for stepped up city involvement.
The Cincinnati Health Department reported receiving 10 complaints of bedbug infestations in 2006, but received 737 complaints in 2007 and 1,101 in 2008. The problem has also increased throughout Ohio and nationwide.
The public and businesses are invited to attend Wednesday's hearing, which is being held at 1 p.m. at City Hall, in the third floor council chambers.
