HYDE PARK, OH (FOX19) - One man and two juveniles are behind bars after a bank robbery in Hyde Park.
It happened at the Fifth Third Bank in the 2600 block of Erie Avenue around 10 a.m. Wednesday. Some undercover officers at a nearby diner were able to respond to the scene quickly.
Police say the suspects got away with a bag of cash, but tellers had dropped a dye pack into the bag. The suspects jumped into a car, but when the dye pack exploded, they ended up throwing the bag of money out the window. They then took off on foot.
Officers chased the suspects throughout the Norwood and Hyde Park area and finally placed them in custody.
Arrested and charged with aggravated robbery was 21-year-old Robert Jackson and two 17-year-old boys.
A 16-year-old boy was arrested, but he was not involved in the bank robbery. He was charged with daytime curfew (truancy) and obstruction.
