CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The historic Vernon Manor hotel is holding a liquidation sale of its current contents to make way for redevelopment.

The hotel is partnering with National Content Liquidators, Inc. for the sale.

The hotel is modeled after the stately Hatfield House in England and has been a Cincinnati landmark since 1924. It was originally built as a retreat for wealthy Cincinnatians longing to get away from the hustle and bustle of downtown.

It has hosted such guests as the Beatles, Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, the Temptations, Judy Garland and Presidents Johnson, Kennedy and Bush Sr.

The liquidation sale begins Thursday, Feb. 18 at 10 a.m. and is open to the public. It will continue daily, Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. The sale is first come, first serve.

Items of interest for sale are the complete contents of the hotel's 177 guest room and suites, some suites with complete kitchens, as well as king and queen beds, 25-inch and 19-inch TVs, armoires, writing desks, artwork, lamps, loveseats, dining tables and chairs, china and glassware.
