The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the entire Tri-State until 6 a.m. Saturday morning.
Light snow showers will encompass the area Friday evening, with accumulations of 1 to 2 inches possible.
The biggest issue will be blowing and drifting snow, as wind gusts could reach up to 30-35 miles per hour.
FOX19 Chief Meteorologist expects the temperature to remain above freezing in most of the southern half of the FOX19 viewing area, but stay below freezing to the north.
Roads will like remain wet, and motorists are urged to be cautious of slick spots. Driving will be more hazardous in open areas because of the drifting snow. Because of this, Clinton County has issued a Level 1 snow emergency.
