CYNTHIANA, KY (FOX19) - A Parent Teacher Organization treasurer is facing charges in Harrison County.
Stacey Harney, 41, of Cynthiana, has been arrested and charged with one count of theft by unlawful taking and nine counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument for allegedly taking $10,000 from the Northside Elementary PTO.
Theft By Unlawful Taking, when the value of the property is over $500, is a Class D felony, punishable by 1 to 5 years in prison. Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd Degree is also a Class D Felony. Each count is punishable by 1 to 5 years in prison.
