WILMINGTON, OH (FOX19) -- The Ohio State Highway Patrol is currently investigating an accident that killed one person early Saturday morning.
A short time before 8:30am, 49-year-old Cari Williams was traveling south on US 68 in Clinton County when she lost control of her vehicle on the wet roadway.
While attempting to negotiate a curve, Williams slid sideways and went left of center into the path of 23-year-old Matthew Brooks who was driving a tractor pulling a dump trailer.
Williams was pronounced dead at the scene by the Clinton County Coroner's Office.Brooks was no injured in the accident.
Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash and the incident remains under investigation.
