Big appetites compete in cheeseburger challenge

SYMMES TWP, OH (FOX19) - It's a challenge that's not for the faint of heart.

The Triple Threat Challenge Eat off Contest pitted big appetites against themselves Sunday at CheezBurger Cafe.  The challenge:  Eat a triple CheezeBurger, small fry, and a 20 oz. milkshake.  The first one done, gets a burger a week for a year.

A triple CheezeBurger includes a pound of meat, three slices of cheese and a bun.

"So far, to date," says organizer Dan Weibel, "the fastest time's by 'Eric the Great' who's done it in 2:53. Our fastest ever. "

That record was blown out of the water by a minute.  Joe Larue of Erlanger finished the Triple Threat Challenge in one minute, 50 seconds; getting his picture on the wall, and 52 free Cheezeburgers.
