HEBRON, KY (FOX19) - Crews were back on the Ohio River Sunday, searching for a missing boater.
Christopher McAllister went missing last weekend after his boat sank in the river near Taylorsport. Two other men, Mike Lemker and Steven McKinley Jr. were able to safely swim to shore, but McAllister's body has not been recovered.
Crews were hampered last week by rising water, increased currents and floating debris.
On Sunday, crews scanned the shoreline, visually searching from their boat.
The river has dropped to 37.9 feet since it crested and continues to drop. It is moving at 4 mph and the amount of debris has lessened as well. Once the water level reaches 35 feet, crews will begin to use side-scanning sonar and under water cameras.
