COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Alex Barlow, averaging all of 6.5 points a
game, scored seven in the last 1:11 of overtime to spur
ninth-ranked Cincinnati Moeller past No. 5 Mentor 66-59 Friday
night in a Division I state boys semifinal.
Barlow scored 21 points, and Charlie Byers and Josh Morelock had
17 apiece for Moeller (22-4), which will now play for its fourth
state title on Saturday night.
Jason Crowe had 28 points - hitting seven 3-pointers - to lead
Mentor (23-4), making its first trip to the final four. First-team
All-Ohioan Cole Krizancic added 13 points, half his average.
Barlow's two foul shots with 1:11 left gave Moeller a 60-59
lead. After Crowe missed a 3, Byers hit the first of two free
throws and Barlow rebounded the second, scoring while being fouled.
His three-pointer made it 64-59 with 34 seconds left.
