HYDE PARK, OH (FOX19) - An overnight fire in Hyde Park is being investigated as arson.
It happened around 12:45 a.m. Monday morning in the 3600 block of Paxton Avenue.
When fire crews arrived, flames were pouring out the back of the building, and within minutes, a second alarm was called.
Fire officials say the fire appeared to have started in the hallway of the basement, and most of the damage was contained to that area because of good firewalls.
The building holds a dentist office and other business offices. Damage is estimated at about $100,000.
A firefighter suffered minor injuries when he slipped and hit his head against a fire hydrant. He was taken to University Hospital. No one else was injured.
