FRANKLIN, OH (FOX19) - Three people are under arrest following a purse snatching at the Franklin Walmart.
It happened around 8:30 p.m. at the Walmart on East 2nd Street. Police say the female victim had her purse taken when she was approached by a man in the parking lot asking for directions.
The suspect fled in a black Mazda, but was located by police as he traveled southbound on Conover Drive. The suspect attempted to allude officers by turning into the Franklin Self Storage. Police boxed the vehicle in and took three occupants of the car into custody.
The driver, Andrew Shaw, 24, of Xenia, is charged with driving under suspension, failure to display a license plate and theft of the purse.
The male passenger and owner of the vehicle, Michael Plymire, 23, of Jamestown, is charged with wrongful entrustment and complicity to theft.
Another passenger, Melissa Lane, 22, of Jamestown, is charged with complicity to theft.
All three are behind held at the Warren County Jail.
Police were able to recover the purse, which had been thrown out of the vehicle. A credit card that had been stolen in an earlier purse snatching in Beavercreek, Ohio was also found on one of the suspects.
