MADISON TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Three people were injured in a crash Wednesday in Butler County.

It happened just before 7 p.m. on Franklin-Madison Road in Madison Township.

Police say a Chrysler 300M driven by Zachary Elam, 16, of Middletown, was traveling south when he traveled off the right side of the road and struck a culvert, then traveled off the left side of the road and struck a utility pole, then overturned several times.

Elam and a passenger, Mara Wocher, 16, of Middletown, were both ejected from the vehicle. They were both flown to Miami Valley Hospital with serious injuries. A third person in the car, Sabrina Tannreuther, 15, of Middletown, was taken by ambulance to Miami Valley Hospital, also with serious injuries.

Police say unsafe speed and lack of safety belt usage contributed to the injuries. Alcohol and or drugs are not suspected.
