PANAMA CITY, FL (FOX19) - A Florida coroner has released a cause of death for a local teenager who died over the weekend after falling from a balcony.
The Bay County coroner's office says Matt James, 17, died from blunt force trauma as a result of the fall from a fifth-floor hotel balcony in Panama City.
The coroner's office said James' death was accidental. According to the coroner's office, he was drunk at the time, but complete toxicology reports won't be available for three to four months.
James was a senior at St. Xavier High School and was signed to play football at Notre Dame next season.

Between March 11 and March 28, agents arrested 985 people in Panama City for underage possession of an alcoholic beverage.
