CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Ohio Governor Ted Strickland made an announcement Monday that is going to have a major impact on several local companies.

This big boost will mean new jobs for people looking for work right now. There are several local companies you might want to start searching their employment pages for jobs.

The Ohio Department of Development just gave them job creation tax credits, which could mean new openings for you. Ohio's Tax Credit Authority gave the green light to job creation tax credits for 16 businesses all across Ohio.

It is expected to create nearly 1,700 jobs and help keep nearly that many positions retained for Ohioans.

Procter & Gamble got a 65-percent job creation tax credit. Their $20 million commitment to a project in Hamilton County is expected to create 336 jobs and retain 562 positions.

In Warren County, Mane Incorporated, which makes seasonings and flavorings for food and beverage products, got a 50-percent tax credit for a project in Lebanon. Their nearly $17.5 million project will create 30 new jobs and retain 65 positions.

Also in Warren County, Concept Imaging Group is working on a long-term project in Springboro. They're known for design, digital imaging and printing and pre-press operations. Their 4.8 million dollar project creates 30 new jobs and retains 44 positions.

In Butler County, NCI Group got a 50-percent tax credit for a project in Middletown. NCI makes non-residential metal buildings and coatings for that metal. Their $12.7 million project will create 74 jobs.

In Hamilton County, Eurostampa North America got a 35-percent tax credit toward a project in Cincinnati. They're a commercial printer that makes high-quality wet glue labels for wines, spirits and chocolate industries.

7.2 million will go toward creating 24 jobs and retaining 49 positions.

Also in Hamilton County, Construction Software Technologies gets more than a million dollars from the Innovation Ohio Loan Fund to buy new computer equipment, software and support. This $3.4 million project is expected to create 74 jobs and retain 240 positions.

Rudd Equipment Company, also in Hamilton County, is on that list. They're expected to create 30 new jobs from this tax credit.

Governor Strickland says these companies truly represent the state's historic strengths in manufacturing, logistics and distribution.
