AMELIA (Fox 19) -- Amelia Village is trying to pass a levy on May 4 to pay for additional police officers. Right now there are five full-time and five part-time officers.

Village administrators say Amelia has grown so much since the last levy passed in 2005.

According to a report by the mayor, police calls increase by nearly 13-percent every year since the last levy passed.

An informational meeting was held Tues. April 27 at 7 p.m. at Amelia Elementary school
