MADISON TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -- A former pastor is arrested after sheriffs say he stole money from a Highland County church.

On Tuesday, 61-year-old James Blaine was arrested and charged with one count of felony theft.

The arrested stemmed from a seven month long investigation by the Highland County Sheriff's Office. There were allegations that Blaine stole money from the Good Shepard Church in Madison County.

Investigators day he stole the money by forging names and documents that were submitted to financial institutions for his personal use. The dollar amount that was allegedly taken was over $100,000 dollars over a period of five years between 2004 and 2009.
