BREAKING NEWS from western Kentucky, where crews are working to rescue two miners trapped after a rock fall.

Crews are also dealing with a mess on the Gulf Coast. Officials say 210,000 gallons of oil a day are leaking at the site of an oil platform explosion.

A verdict could come today in the murder trial of a man accused of killing three people in Over the Rhine.

A Xenia mother who went missing and was later found in Florida is saying she is sorry. More on that story here.

A local prosecutor has closed a murder investigation from 1978 after the only suspect in the case committed suicide.

There are a couple of important recalls to tell you about - one involving infant cribs and another involving Toyota Sequoias.

U.S. Navy officials made an announcement today that women will now be allowed to serve on submarines. More on that here.

Wall to wall sunshine right now and that will continue this afternoon with a high of 73°. Then clear skies tonight with a low of 53°. Expect warmer air on Friday with a high of 79° and clouds increasing late day. 

FLYING PIG Weekend: We have a risk for moderate rain in the area for both Saturday and Sunday mornings. Thunderstorm risk is in the afternoon hours, however it will be mild in the upper 50's Sunday morning.
