Officials: Two more bodies found in Nashville flooding

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Authorities in Nashville say the bodies of two more people have been found in the flooded city.

They said the two bodies were found late Monday. That brings the storm-related death toll to 10 in the city and 18 in Tennessee.

In total, 28 people have died from weekend storms and flash flooding in Tennessee, Kentucky and Mississippi.

Thousands have fled their homes in Nashville as the Cumberland River continues to rise after heavy rains dumped more than 13 inches of water in two days.

The river was expected to crest in downtown Nashville as early as Monday night.
