Ludlow assistant coach dies at 22

LUDLOW, KY (FOX19) - A well known assistant football coach and substitute teacher has died at age 22.

Jordan Logan died Friday after suffering a medical issue and being rushed to St. Elizabeth Hospital.

Logan was a graduate of Ludlow High School and Thomas More College and returned to Ludlow High two years ago as a defensive coordinator for the team.

He apparently participated in football practice Friday and later became ill.

"He is the type of young man who just loves life. Very enthusiastic, very positive, all I've honestly never seen the young man frowning, always smiling, just one of those kids that embraced life," said Curtis Hall, Ludlow superintendent.

The cause of his illness and death is unclear and remains under investigation. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.

Logan's visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home on Elm Street in Ludlow. His funeral will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Community Family Church on Taylor Mill Road in Taylor Mill.
