Franklin County prepares for Police, Fire, EMS Memorial

BROOKVILLE, IN (FOX19) - Franklin County is preparing to dedicate its memorial for city police, fire, and EMS officers who have passed away in the line of duty on Friday, May 14 at 6pm. The ceremony will take place at the Brookville Courthouse yard.

The memorial is being run by Brookville's newly formed Honor Guard. Friday's dedication will honor three police officers and two firemen killed in the line of duty.

The memorial will honor all of those who have lost their lives in the line of duty in and from Franklin County.

Governor Mitch Daniels has been invited to the ceremony, but has not yet responded to the invitation.
