CINCINNATI (FOX19) - Both ramps from I-75 to westbound I-74 were closed early Thursday morning after a crash on I-75 that followed a menacing chase miles away in Winton Hills.

Cincinnati Police were investigating a report of a person with a gun on Hebron Court in Winton Hills.  The officers were returning to the neighborhood ready to arrest a suspect when there was a report of shots fired in the same area.  They spotted and pulled over the car they were looking for a few blocks from the original scene.  When the officers got out of their cars, the driver of the car floored it and took off.

Police say they didn't give chase after the car took off, but the driver acted as if they had.  The next time officers got a good look at the car, it had wrecked.

The driver took the ramp from southbound I-75 to westbound I-74, but she lost control along the way, went straight through the grass instead of following the curved ramp, and crashed into a concrete wall on I-74 just off the ramp, narrowly missing the traffic that is always in the area.  Police say the driver, who is 19-years-old, had seriously broken legs and was taken to the hospital.

Police ended up calling in a large number of officers when they found a number of guns in the car.  They closed both ramps from I-75 to 74 while they looked at the car for a few hours.

Rebecca Lewis, 19, is now charged with carrying a concealed weapon, failure to comply, aggravated menacing.

It's unclear why she was firing shots, but no one was injured.
