BURLINGTON, KY (FOX19) - Police have made an arrest after two people were shot in Boone County.
It happened just after 3 p.m. Saturday at an apartment complex on Douglas Drive. It started with an argument and fight and ended with two innocent bystanders being shot.
Jason Damon, 27, of Burlington, is charged with Assault 1st degree (2 counts), Wanton endangerment 1st degree (10 counts), Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and Fleeing or evading 1st degree.
The Wanton endangerment charges stem from the innocent bystanders in the area - mostly children - who could have been seriously injured or killed.
Damon ran into nearby woods to avoid apprehension but was nabbed two hours later by sheriff's deputies.
The two people injured in the shooting have since been treated and released from the hospital.
