CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - A father and son are behind bars, both charged with murder.

Hamilton County prosecutors say Kareem Gilbert, 18, confessed to killing Bryan Austin in October of 2008. He was also charged with the murder of a second man, Victor Davis.

In and effort to get a lesser sentence for Austin's murder, Gilbert told police his father, Ruben Jordan, 37, actually killed Davis. So instead of being sentenced to life in prison, Gilbert was sentenced to 18 years.

Jordan, who was in the courtroom at the time of Gilbert's revelation, was taken into custody and booked in the Hamilton County Justice Center on one count of murder. He was in court on Wednesday and had his bond set at $1 million.
