3 injured in Brown County crash

STERLING TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Police are investigating a serious traffic crash in Brown County.

It happened just before 5 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Bodman Road and Bardwell West Road.

A Chevy 3500 operated by Stephen Gaskin, 26, of Feesburg, was traveling southbound on Bodman Road and a Ford Ranger driven by Kenneth Childers, 80, of Williamsburg, was traveling eastbound on Bardwell West Road.

Preliminary investigation reveals that Childers failed to yield to a stop sign and was struck by Gaskin.

Childers suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported by air to University Hospital.

Gaskin and his front seat passenger, Lawrence Gaskin, 56, of Hamersville, also suffered injuries. Lawrence Gaskin was also taken to University Hospital and Stephen Gaskin was taken to the hospital via private transport.

The crash remains under investigation.
