Robbery suspect arrested while they search for another in Fairfield

FAIRFIELD,OH (FOX19) --Police arrested a robbery suspect and need help locating another.

A short time before midnight, police say the Minnick's Drive Thru located on the 4800 block of Dixie Highway was robbed.

The suspect pulled out a knife and escaped with a large amount of money and cigarettes. As he left the scene, he punched the clerk in the face.

As police responded tot the scene, an officer noticed a person running from the area and a perimeter was set up. Canine Units were able to track the suspect and bit him during the apprehension. The money and cigarettes valued at $1,400 dollars was recovered.

20-year-old Michael Delk was treated for his bit wound and Mercy Hospital. He is currently being held at the Butler County Jail under a $50,000 bond.

Police are looking for a second person who may have been waiting for Delk in a vehicle. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 513-352-3040.
