12 people homeless after apartment fire in Clermont County

UNION TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -- Fire crews are investigating an apartment fire that left 12 people homeless early Sunday morning.

Union Township Fire crews were called to the 3900 block of Piccadilly Circle for a report of a fire around 3:00am. When they arrived there was heavy smoke and fire extending to the roof and attic.

Four people had to be rescued from the third floor of the apartment complex. They all suffered from smoke inhalation, two of the residents had to be transported to Anderson Mercy Hospital. Everyone is expected to be okay. One resident tells FOX19 that she is relieved that everyone was able to get out alive.

12 people are homeless after the six-apartment complex had heavy smoke, fire and water damage.

Fire officials have not determined a cause of the blaze and the incident is currently under investigation.
