BATAVIA TWP. (FOX 19) -- A Union Township couple is indicted in one of the largest indoor pot growing operations ever discovered in Clermont county.

A grand jury indicts James McKinney, Jr., and his wife, Abigail. Last week investigators found more than 500 marijuana plants growing in their basement.

According to court documents, the pair is charged with several counts of growing, trafficking and possession of marijuana.

The McKinneys are also charged with child endangerment.  Their two young children were in the home the night of the arrest.

The McKinneys operation had been under watch for six months.

Mckinney's father's home in Madisonville in Hamilton county was also part of the bust.
