Big Ole Fish tale in Warren County

SPRINGBORO, OH (FOX19) - Springboro Police are trying to piece together one heck of a fish tale. Officers in Warren County say a passerby found a five foot fish lying in the middle of a street in Springboro.

Cops say they think the fish may have belonged to a fisherman headed home to show it off. Instead, it literally stopped traffic.

"I feel sorry for the, uh, the fisherman 'cause no one's going to believe him. He's going to say 'I had this fish and it was this long' and, uh, no one's going to believe that fish story," said Officer Dale Richter.

The fish has been identified as grass carp, or a "white amur."
