NORTHSIDE, OH (FOX19) -- A child is injured in a 2-alarm fire that occurred Saturday evening.

A short time after 7:00pm, Cincinnati Fire crews were called to the 4200 block of Fergus Avenue. When fire companies arrived they discovered heavy fire to the entire two story dwelling. There was also extension of the fire to an exposure next door at 4216 Fergus.

Because of the advanced stage of the fire a second alarm was sounded.

One juvenile sustained minor burns and was transported to hospital. The origin and cause of the fire is under investigation and is being listed as "undetermined".

There were no reports of injuries to firefighters however the risk was still there.

Damage to the building of origin is estimated at $60,000 dollars. Damage loss to the exposure building is estimated at $25,000 dollars. The American Red Cross responded to assist one adult and five children from the building of origin.
