Florence Police make arrest in deadly accident

FLORENCE, KY (FOX19) - Police say a deadly accident on Interstate 75 Sunday night may have been the result of drunk driving.

The Florence Police Department Accident Team was called out to the southbound lane on I-75 at 11:46 p.m.

Police said Joseph Rauch, 22, of Versailles, Ky. was driving a Toyota Camry with Keli L. Wilson, 22, of Lawrenceburg, Ky. in the passenger seat when he rear-ended a semi-truck. Wilson was pronounced dead on the scene.

Police said Rauch was charged with 2nd degree Manslaughter and Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol or Drugs.

Rauch is being held at the Boone County Detention Center. He pled not guilty during a video arraignment Monday morning. Police say his blood-alcohol level was 0.14, which is just under two times the legal limit of 0.08.
